Motorola’s official account has tweeted that the US based company is preparing to announce the launch details of its first global smartphone post Google acquisition, Moto G, for India on February 5, which was unveiled on November 13, 2013 for a cheaper price-rate of about $199 for the developing markets. Moto G sports a 4.5 inch 720p HD panel covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 3, no less, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC featuring a quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.2Ghz and Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM and 8 or 16 GB of storage without any expansion slot, a 5MP rear shooter, and 1.3MP HD front facing camera for video chats and selfies, and powered by a 2070 mAh battery, which, incidentally, Motorola promises would provide more than a day’s usage easily. As an added extra, an optional dual SIM version will be available in India, for those who like to juggle their personal and business lives using the same handset. The device was recently updated to the latest version of Android KitKat 4.4.2. As the device runs almost stock build of Android, Motorola claims that the device should perform most of the day-today tasks faster than the high-end competitors. Pricing information is still unknown, probably it would take an attractive place in the mainstream in between Rs 15,000 - Rs.20000 price range.
